Outside: Cushion-style bed design is hand-tailored to exacting standards features cosy Irish blanket wool cover with 4" sidewall construction. All seams are serged and then reinforced with a super-strong safety straight stitch. Premium YKK zipper tucks away from bored pups into a hidden compartment. Machine wash cold (30°C) on wool/gentle cycle setting, line dry.
Inside: The interior cushion features zippered, channel construction that is then generously filled with a specially processed blend of Irish sheep wool. Wool is unmatched when it comes to comfort as a bedding fiber– naturally regulating your pets body temperature for the ultimate sleep surface.

WHY WOOL?
THE BENEFITS OF WOOL - INSIDE AND OUT.
Wool is the forgotten fibre. Replaced by petroleum-based acrylic fibre and fleece, wool has fallen from favour as a staple in cool weather clothing. Which is sad because wool has so many unique and sustainable advantages over synthetics.
First of all, wool is a 100% natural, sustainable, biodegradable and recyclable product. Sheep produce a new fleece every year, which is typically sheared during the summer months to give them plenty of time to grow a new one before the onset of winter. And whenever a wool fibre product is disposed of properly, it will naturally decompose, releasing nutrients back into the soil.
A wool-filled dog bed is also more comfortable to sleep on than a synthetic fibre filled bed. Unlike recycled plastic fiber (PET) or synthetic polyester, wool fibre is naturally springy with a crimp that allows it to compress or be stretched up to 30% and still return to its original shape. This complex, coiled fibre structure gives a wool-filled bed incredible resilience, so you can count on it to keep its shape after years of daily use.
Wool also has balanced thermal properties, which means it's literally regulates to your body temperature – warm in winter and cool in summer. Because it can absorb relatively large quantities of moisture vapour and wick it away to evaporate into the air, it's far more breathable than synthetics, too. And, because it absorbs moisture, it tends not to generate static electricity during cold winter nights.
The health benefits of wool are significant. Wool is naturally hypoallergenic and resistant to bacteria, mould and mildew, which can trigger allergic reactions. Wool repels dust mites with microscopic bristles on each fibre. And, as most people know, wool is easy to clean, either with a vacuum cleaner or a gentle wash in cool sudsy water.
